Press Release for EUDL Conference Top Entertainment

Featured crossover singer, guitarist and composer Tommy Grasso has been chosen to play
The Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville for an audience of 2000 at the the10th Annual National Leadership
Conference of The "EUDL"(Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws) lending his support to an important cause - the
health and safety of youth and communities. You have heard Tommy's work with the hard rocking Dave Meniketti of
Y&T, or at the opposite end of the spectrum, his work with R&B recording star Freddie Jackson. Just back from a tour in South Africa, Tommy Grasso has been featured recently on NBC's Today Show.
He is a multi-instrumentalist/singer-songwriter/ producer with 4 independent solo releases and numerous
collaborations. Tommy has been heralded as “Versatile”, “All at once timeless and contemporary,” “An artist for all
generations”. His latest release Me & Red features Grasso on his famous red guitar - the favorite of his collection.
One reviewer said “he lends a country clarity to the urban landscape and is definitely worth a spin”! This time
around, Tommy went all acoustic with 11 tracks of just vocal and guitar. One music critic raved Me & Red is
“a fine sample of American song-writing”. The concert is important to Grasso, “Over the years I have seen too many
young artist's with great potential lose their creativity - or their lives - due to poor choices” says Grasso. “These
people…, counselors, educators, parents, youth and law enforcement work together to do important work. It is
important for those of us in the music business to be about safeguarding the young fans that make us who we are.”
Tommy will perform a full all acoustic set on August 22 at 6 to 8 pm in the Grand Foyer of The Country Music Hall
of Fame.

Tickets for the event are $25 and are available at the Opryland Hotel and Conference Center registration table.
The Me & Red disc is available: on itunes.com, Amazon.com CDbaby.com or at any Grasso performance.

On December 6th, I launched a new ongoing "house-band" gig called:
NOON@NITE
The band will play the first Thursday of every month at "The Mean Fiddler" here in New York City,
and features some great NYC musicians.
George Farmer on Bass
George plays in the "Spring Awakening" band on Broadway.
I gig with him when I cover the guitar chair at the show.
Steve Lavner on keys / vocals
Steve was in "Beauty and The Beast" on Broadway, and has also played in numerous NYC
bands including ZIPTHUNK
Casual-T on drums
"T" also plays "Spring Awakening" and covers "Chicago" on Broadway as well.
You can find him on the web @ www.flatnosemusic.com
Andi Hopkins on vocals
Andi has been singing with me on my originals for years!
And of course, I will be playing guitars / anything else I can find and singing!
This is a really fun band, and we will be playing classic to cutting edge material including some
tommy grasso stuff!

R&B recording artist Freddie Jackson (Orpheus Records) has brought me on to play guitar.
My first gig with him was in South Africa back in August at the Johannasburg jazz festival.
We did back to back gigs there at the Jazz Dome to huge crowds.
I will resume playing select dates here in the states with Freddie and his band
as needed

Here's some news from right here in good old New York City.
I have been called in to sub the "guitar one" chair on going at the new hit musical
"Spring Awakening"
With music by Duncan Sheik, the show took home 8 Tony awards this June including
Best New Musical for 2007
The band performs right onstage with the cast, as opposed to the traditional broadway musical
where the the band or orchestra plays in the pit.
Keep an eye on my gigs page, I will post dates that I will be playing the show
if and when I know before hand

"Across The Universe" is now playing!
I appear in the final scene of this new Julie Taymor feature film!
What a blast it was being a part of this. It's a true "musical" film using the songs of
The Beatles to connect its story line .
You can find me playing bass in "Sadie's" band. Sadie is played by New York rocker Dana Fuchs.
The scene is a concert on a New York City rooftop at the end of the film.

On April 15th, I played my first gig as the new guitar player with the newly re-formed 70's soul band "The Stylistics"
With hits of the day such as :
You Are Everything
Betcha by Golly Wow
My Heart
You Make Me Feel Brand New.
The new musical director for "The Stylistics"is Jesse Grahm.
Jesse has been playing bass in my band, and is about to play on some of my new studio tracks,
so when the guitar slot opened up, I got a call. This is a very cool thing.
These guys not only still sing great,
THEY STILL KILL THIS STUFF!
Talk about music that stands the test of time!
Stay tuned to my gigs page for more Stylistic's show dates

On February 20th I taped a POD CAST for the "Acoustic Cafe" presented by central New Jersey's Courier News

Download the event FREE FREE FREE hosted by Courier News editor Bob Makin at
http://www.c-n.com/specialsections/media/
The POD CAST is an acoustic performance, I'm singing and playing, joined by musician extrodinare Jesse Grahm on
backing acoustic guitar. This was our first live colaboration peformance so it's fresh and slamin'
The following article appeared in the March 4th issue of the Courier:

Today's featured artist is Raritan-raised singer-songwriter Tommy Grasso who
returned to play at Drewby's Grill Pubin Manville tonite. Grasso performed songs off his
four indie CDs: his self-titled debut, "Tommy Grasso Two," "TG3" and "Me & Red"
his new all-acoustic affair played on his beloved red Guild guitar. About his latest disc,
Grasso says, "Until now, the idea of recording an all acoustic CD hasn't had much appeal.
The CDs I've done this far have all been full band, and full-out slick productions. My first three
releases are examples of what I usually hear when songs come to me. You know those little
voices inside. This time I wanted to take a ridedown a different street."Grasso recently
participated in the New York City-wide "Songsalive" series at The Bitter End and performed at the
DYI Convention in Hollywood, California. All four of Grasso's CDs are available at
www.tommygrasso.com, as well aswww.cdbaby.com and itunes.
A recent digital distribution deal with itunes makes Grasso's music available
at more than 40 itunesaffiliated digital distribution sites, including
Best Buy, Napster, Rapsody and Amazon.
